For we know, beloved, that [God] has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but with power, with the Holy Spirit, and deep conviction.
1 Thessalonians 1:4-5a NIV
I feel it.
Whether or not you feel it.
I believe it.
Whether or not you believe it.
I know it.
Whether or not you know it.
The good news – that you are accepted, that you are loved – is going to hit your heart one of these days. It’s going to lodge itself there, and it’s never going to let you go.
It’s a faithful and steadfast kind of love that chooses and loves you. It’s a love you haven’t known yet. No matter what you do, you’re not going to be able to make it hate you. You’re not going to be able to make it want to hide from you. You’re not going to be able to make it walk away.
And I am part of that. A small part, but a part nonetheless.
So bring your worst.
You are inescapably, unchangeably chosen and loved.
